Title: The Peacemaker Plot: After a heated argument with his father, Billy Blue Cannon leaves the ranch and accompanies a presidential envoy to Cochise. While journeying, he finds himself captivated by Moonfire, the adopted Apache daughter of Kelly. An optimistic visionary, Kelly negotiates with Cochise for a land strip that would separate the High Chaparral from Tucson, jeopardizing the Cannons' supply line and pushing them toward financial ruin. Furious over both the peace agreement and his son's romantic involvement, John gears up to protect their ranch from Apache threats.
