Episode Overview

Title: A Matter of Survival Plot: On their way back from a visit to her father's ranch, Victoria, along with her companions Sam and Pedro, discovers infant Joey, the sole survivor of an Indian raid on his family's wagon. Joey's grandfather, Dan Casement, who escaped the attack by scouting for water, insists on taking the child with him. However, Victoria argues that she can provide better care for the baby as they head towards the safety of the Cannon ranch. Eventually, Casement agrees to join them on their perilous journey across the desert, unaware that hostile Indians are tracking their every move, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
