Episode Overview

The Chief discovers a cigarette tucked away in his sock and starts questioning the girls about it. After learning that Samantha and Katie don’t smoke, he ransacks Julie's room, only to apologize when she insists she would never smoke. However, once he leaves, she secretly lights up, and he catches her in the act. Following a confrontation where he hits her, Julie decides to move in with Grandma and Grandpa. Desperate to bring her back home, the Chief shares his own past with smoking and how it led to Margaret's lung cancer and death. Realizing the depth of his concern, Julie agrees to return home and quit smoking.
