Episode Overview

When Nell learns that her sister Loretta wants Mama Maybelle to relocate to California and live with her in Glenlawn after the wedding, she isn't thrilled about the plan. Mama Maybelle, upon discovering Loretta's intentions to send her away while she and her fiancé Howard settle down in Colorado, also feels uneasy. However, the Chief informs Nell that Mama can move in since he convinced Grandpa to do the same, leaving Nell in disbelief. Ultimately, Mama expresses her love for Nell and reassures her that she has always been looking out for her. Now, she plans to find a cozy one-bedroom apartment to maintain her independence without intruding on her daughter's lives.
