Gimme a Break! (1981)

Episode Overview

Nell arranges for Sammy Davis Jr. to perform in Glenlawn, but when she checks in with him, he reveals that she mistakenly booked him for next month. Frustrated, Nell heads to the gas station for a car wash, where she meets Albert, a guy who looks just like Sammy. She proposes that if he impersonates Sammy on stage to trick the town, she’ll help him win over Angie, the girl he’s been pining for. Ultimately, Sammy does arrive as planned, and he and Nell delight the residents of Glenlawn with a fantastic performance.
