Episode Overview
When Joey's beloved TV star, Captain Jerk, ends up in the hospital after accidentally swallowing a whistle, Nell steps in to help, as they share the same blood type. However, upon visiting him, she overhears him expressing his racist views and discussing his efforts to promote a white-only society with his co-stars. Realizing she must reveal this unsettling truth to Joey, Nell struggles with how to break the news. In the end, Captain Jerk offers Nell a role on his show, but when he sees she is black, he panics and swallows the whistle again. He tries to bribe her into silence about his prejudice. Joey, initially skeptical, ultimately faces the reality that his hero is not who he thought, leaving the hospital with Nell, disillusioned about Captain Jerk.
