Episode Overview
Nell discovers that it’s Parents Week at Littlefield College in New Jersey and feels hurt that Samantha didn’t invite her. Undeterred, she decides to show up anyway. When Nell arrives, Samantha is taken aback by her presence as Nell starts to intrude on various student activities. She even attends one of Sam’s English classes, much to Professor Dudley’s annoyance. Later, Nell meets a student who wishes to pursue fashion design instead of teaching but struggles to confront his father, who happens to be Professor Dudley. As the day wraps up, Sam reveals to Nell her secret crush on a student named Eric, sharing that they plan to drop out, get married, and move to a farm in South Dakota due to financial constraints. Nell is left in shock, collapsing to the floor.
