In late 2003, a quiet village in northern Sicily experienced a bizarre phenomenon as everyday appliances—refrigerators, toasters, and televisions—began to spontaneously ignite and explode without warning. Even unplugged air conditioners would burst into flames, while computers froze and cell phones rang with no callers. Mysteriously, electronic door locks in empty cars operated on their own, leaving the mystery unresolved. Then, on April 18, 2007, the Kaz II, a catamaran known as the "ghost yacht," was discovered drifting 88 nautical miles off Australia’s northern coast. The whereabouts of its three-man crew remain a mystery, as authorities, family, and friends are baffled by the lack of struggle or disturbance on board. A full cup of coffee and a running laptop were left untouched. What could have happened to these men?
