Episode Overview

The police bring a trembling Overton back to the apartment after a horse takes down the mugger, but not before tossing Overton into some bushes. He still keeps quiet about the ring when talking to Synclaire. Later, he identifies the mugger in a lineup, prompting Synclaire to burst through a door in a fit of rage, ready to confront him. After Khadijah interrupts the moment, Overton seizes the opportunity to propose to Synclaire at the police station, and she joyfully accepts. Meanwhile, Khadijah settles with the band, knowing they’ll drive Flavor to bankruptcy. Just then, Russell crashes in, revealing he has deconstructed the disputed song, exposing it as a copy of “Mandy.” Max's campaign seems to catch a break when Kyle finds evidence of the incumbent's corruption, but the proof is shredded. In a surprising turn, Max admits to the allegations against her, asserting they actually highlight her integrity.
