Episode Overview

Khadijah begins to rethink Flavor's support for Max after she hears her recite tired clichés instead of engaging with real issues. Instead, she chooses to endorse an under-the-radar high school teacher, William Perez. Max accuses Khadijah of jealousy, suggesting she doesn't want her friends to excel. When Max encounters Perez at a park, where he’s helping his civics class clean up graffiti, she realizes her motivations for running are selfish. Deciding to step back, she encourages everyone to vote for Perez. Inspired by her sincerity, voters give her enough write-in votes to win. Max later apologizes to Khadijah, who admires her newfound integrity. Meanwhile, Overton and Synclaire's parents cut ties with them when Kyle and Regine inadvertently reveal their engagement before they had the chance to. They eventually reconcile, but their parents remain upset.
