A Different World (1987)

Episode Overview

Jaleesa agrees to have dinner with her ex-husband, Lamar, which stirs up jealousy in Walter, who pretends to be unaffected. When Lamar arrives to pick her up, he charms everyone, including Whitley, who had just criticized him. Walter decides to confront his rival and feels stung when Jaleesa labels him merely a "friend." Lamar professes to have changed and expresses a desire to reconnect, but Jaleesa becomes suspicious and storms out after he admits he's currently involved with another woman whom he intends to leave. Although Walter's response to her apology is laced with sarcasm, they ultimately reconcile.
