Episode Overview
Kim and Freddie are excited to spend homecoming weekend at Freaknic, a music festival in Washington, D.C. However, Kim's father, a police officer, calls and forbids her from going. Undeterred, Kim decides to attend anyway, leaving Whitley to divert her father when he shows up unexpectedly. Upon Kim's return, Mr. Reese scolds her furiously and threatens to make her transfer to a school back home. Kim argues that as a responsible 19-year-old, she should have the right to choose. In retaliation, her father grounds her for the remainder of her break. Whitley tries to uplift Kim by pointing out that having a parent who cares enough to be upset is a privilege she didn't have growing up. Meanwhile, Ron and Dwayne find themselves in a tricky situation when they each bring a girl home to the apartment.
