Episode Overview
Whitley decides to audition for the academic decathlon, motivated by the $1500 prize for the winning team. Despite Dwayne and Ron mocking her, Whitley demonstrates her impressive knowledge and secures a spot on the team. However, she and Dwayne are less than thrilled to discover they'll be partners. During a late-night study session, their playful wrestling leads to an unexpected and passionate kiss. Whitley later overhears Dwayne telling a jealous Kinu that he has no feelings for her. During the competition, Whitley files her nails, leaving Dwayne to shoulder the burden alone. He eventually persuades her to participate, but they narrowly lose to Kinu’s team. As Dwayne and Kinu head off to celebrate, Whitley confidently declares, "You may have won the prize, but I’ll win the guy." Meanwhile, Kim declines a date with Matthew, expressing to Freddie that she finds him strange and fears the challenges of an interracial relationship. Freddie
