Episode Overview
Quatermass finds refuge with a community of seniors residing in a junkyard. While at the hospital, medical staff are astounded when Isabel suddenly levitates and bursts into a cloud of dust. Quatermass deduces that such occurrences are not unprecedented; he posits that ancient sites like stone circles serve as signals left by an alien presence for future arrivals. He theorizes this force manifests as an energy sphere enveloping the Earth. However, he remains doubtful, suspecting it may be a machine designed to harvest human protein. The space shuttle meets its demise, but not before Marshall witnesses a colossal beam of light radiating outward. Meanwhile, the Planet People assemble en masse at Wembley Stadium. Despite their efforts, Annie and Quatermass cannot stop the gathering, and lightning strikes the stadium.
