Episode Overview
DI Ken Jackson finds himself in a precarious situation when a hidden aspect of his past resurfaces. His partner, DI Archie Bond, arrives at a police charity boxing event with a young woman named Crystal, leaving Ken visibly shaken—clearly, he knows her, but the reason remains unclear. Sgt. Keith Lardner grows worried as Ken becomes increasingly fixated on Crystal and asks Dangerfield to intervene. However, Ken keeps his secrets close, leading Dangerfield to suspect that her presence might be linked to Ken's questionable history with the Vice Squad. Tensions escalate when a tuberculosis case is discovered at the clinic. Gerald Norland, the patient, hesitates to provide a list of potential contacts. Meanwhile, Joanna Stevens treats Crystal's baby, Emma, and realizes that Crystal is also infected with TB. Putting the clues together, she deduces that Crystal is the source of Gerald's infection.
