Episode Overview
In 2014, Robert Hind, a registered sex offender, vanishes from a bail hostel, raising alarm among the police who fear he may be on the brink of committing another crime. A thorough search of the town ensues, and soon CCTV footage reveals him with David Mitchell, another ex-con who shared his living space. Speculation arises about their relationship and a potential sinister plot. However, the shocking truth emerges: Hind has not escaped but has been murdered by Mitchell, a man with a dark past who previously killed his wife in the 90s. He disposed of Hind's body in the canal, a site already tainted by mystery, as it also holds the tragic story of Tobias Minski, a student whose disappearance led to a frantic search, only for his remains to be discovered crammed inside a suitcase nearby.
