Episode Overview

After serving time for a heist at the local lumber yard, Ed Fraser (Howard Duff) makes his way back to Medicine Bow. His conviction hinged on Steve Hill's testimony, yet the $30,000 taken remains missing, and Ed’s accomplice, Helen Blaine (Ida Lupino), who happens to be the mother of Steve's girlfriend (Joey Heatherton), is still at large. When Ed appears to be targeted for assassination, Steve openly suspects him of seeking vengeance. Following Ed's murder, Steve finds himself the main suspect. Though he dodges a trial due to insufficient evidence, he becomes an outcast and realizes he must uncover the truth to clear his name.
