Episode Overview

Trampas and Betsy Garth stumble upon the lifeless body of their neighbor, Mr. Keel, who has been murdered. While investigating, Trampas meets Karl Rilke, a Latvian immigrant, and his expectant wife, Maria. They possess Keel's rifle, but Karl insists he purchased it from a stranger. Judge Garth is convinced of Karl’s innocence and suspects that Keel's son, Johnny, is the true killer, leading him to defend Karl during the trial.
