Episode Overview

After a cougar claims the life of a ranch worker, seasoned hunter Steve Hill sets out into the mountains to track the dangerous animal. His journey leads him to a homestead owned by Nancy Mayhew and her husband, Charles. Tensions are palpable between the couple, as it soon becomes evident that Charles lost his son to the very same cougar. Nancy holds Charles responsible for his perceived cowardice and begins to show an attraction to Steve, a situation that ultimately puts his life at risk.
