Episode Overview

King Louis of France denies Marie the right to lay her father's body to rest in Burgundy, insisting that her advisors recognize him as their rightful king. When Marie rejects the proposal to marry Charles, French forces descend upon Burgundy, wreaking havoc across the region. Meanwhile, Maximilian is stricken by the plague on his way to Ghent. Confined to his bed, he finds himself powerless to assist Marie as she confronts her many adversaries.
