Episode Overview
Facing the grim reality of Ronnie's terminal condition, Charmian begins a relationship with Alan, the son of Ruby Wright. She soon finds herself pregnant and undergoes a dangerous back-alley abortion. In July 1965, Biggs and three accomplices break out of Wandsworth prison, aided by connections in the criminal world. By December, Charmian meets him in Paris, eager to bring their family back together. They assume new identities and, in June 1966, Charmian and her two sons travel to Darwin, Australia, where they reunite with Ronnie. After changing their names again, they settle in Adelaide, and Charmian gives birth to a third son. They later learn that Bruce Reynolds has been captured in Mexico.
