Episode Overview

Ronnie comes home from his tree-felling job, and Charmian quickly realizes he’s been part of the Great Train Robbery. Her suspicions are confirmed when he reveals his share of £147,000. Fearing exposure, Charmian and Ronnie distribute the money among trusted acquaintances. In September 1963, Ronnie is arrested, leaving Charmian overwhelmed by the media scrutiny. She becomes involved with the friends of the elusive Bruce Reynolds and faces threats from a conman demanding money for her safety. During the trial, Ronnie receives a 30-year sentence, and Charmian is cut off by her family.
