He also reconnects with an old classmate who has been looking after him in the hospital. After his release from jail, Wyatt reflects on his past errors and visits the grave of Lizzie, the young girl whose life he tragically took. There, he is recognized by Lizzie's mother as the driver in the hit-and-run. David remains a steady support for Jeffery, trying to better grasp his experiences by speaking with Landon. However, David faces his own dilemma when Maggie crosses professional lines. Meanwhile, Quincy, the father of Candace's child, arrives at the apartment shared by Candace and Amanda, leading Amanda to uncover that Candace's history is far more complex than she realized. In a separate scene, Jim visits the still-captive Candace, offering her one last opportunity to save herself.
