Episode Overview

After their summer getaway on "True Love," Pacey and Joey return to face the emotional fallout from Dawson, who has been struggling with his feelings. Initially, he avoids both of them, but Jen persuades him to have a conversation with Joey. Meanwhile, Pacey's older sister, Gretchen, arrives in Capeside and moves in with Doug, leaving Pacey without a place to stay. Refusing to return to his parents' house, he asks Joey for temporary shelter. Dawson confides in Jack about his past crush on Gretchen, while Andie finds herself drawn to two foreign guys. When Dawson and Joey talk, he reassures her that he'll take it one day at a time. The group is left wondering about Pacey and Joey's trip, but Joey discreetly assures Dawson that nothing significant occurred.
