Episode Overview

After spraining her ankle, Kate faces a few days of rest, just as the family braces for Mr. Feasel's visit, the key figure who will determine if the convention will be hosted at Shady Rest. In Mr. Webster's absence, Uncle Joe decides to spruce up the hotel to attract conventioneers and even brings in Smokey Harner, a country musician. As she hears about the changes, Kate starts to think that Uncle Joe and the girls might be doing a better job than she did. When Mr. Feasel arrives ahead of schedule, he is unimpressed. Meanwhile, Kate surprises everyone by recovering faster than expected, but she decides to conceal her progress to keep family morale high. Unfortunately, due to various mishaps, Mr. Feasel ultimately decides to leave, only to return unexpectedly for a rather unconventional reason.
