Episode Overview

On the opening day of school, Kate struggles to inspire her daughters to get ready. Meanwhile, Betty Jo discovers a charming little dog that trails her home after school. Although the dog is adorable and well-behaved, Kate insists that Betty Jo cannot keep him, convinced he must have an owner. Betty Jo returns him to school, yet the dog continues to follow her back. Eventually, Kate agrees to let the pup stay temporarily until someone comes for him or he becomes a nuisance. Although the dog does stir up some trouble, Kate ultimately softens and allows him to remain with the family.
