Episode Overview
Title: Truancy Plot: With an increase in truancy cases in the area, Reed devises a strategy to apprehend students skipping school, a move prompted by a recent garage burglary carried out by two of these truants. The initiative leads to a noticeable decrease in crimes linked to truants; notably, two individuals are caught red-handed by the police, one being connected to the earlier break-in. Additionally, officers detain two heroin traffickers who cleverly concealed their drugs in their vehicle’s gas tank, causing a leak that stalled their car. Meanwhile, they also thwart car thieves attempting to dismantle a vehicle for parts to assemble a dune buggy. In this episode, Officer Ed Wells receives a promotion to Police Officer III, just below Malloy’s rank of Police Officer III+1.
