Episode Overview

Reed's flu quickly spreads to several officers, leaving the station short-handed. They respond to a series of calls, including a shootout with an armed bookie, a dispute between a storekeeper and a customer over a cantaloupe during a traffic stop, and Reed's discovery of a burglar after spotting a flashlight in a store. A teenager also manages to evade Reed during a foot chase. With the team understaffed, Malloy and Reed are pulled into double shifts. Malloy issues a ticket to a woman for a right turn at a red light, only to later find out that the same woman is the police commissioner they must escort throughout the night.
