Episode Overview

After spending some time at the shooting range, Reed makes a late-night stop at a grocery store. As he heads out, a stranger approaches him, acting as if they’re acquainted, then indicates another man in a green Beetle who is aiming a gun at Reed. Reacting quickly, Reed drops his groceries, pushes the stranger aside, and fires at the Beetle’s driver, hitting the vehicle. However, the driver shoots the accomplice instead. The store clerk insists he only heard a single shot, and the accomplice claims Reed was reckless, leading to Reed's suspension. Meanwhile, Malloy and his meticulous new partner track down the now-yellow Beetle and find the other man, ultimately clearing Reed of any wrongdoing.
