Episode Overview
Reed and Malloy head to a park to mediate a conflict where Edna Digby, an elderly woman, confronts painter Andre Pochek about selling a painting she finds offensive. To settle the matter—and due to Pochek's need for a new permit and lack of funds—Malloy buys the painting and stashes it in the cruiser. Despite his distaste for the artwork, it becomes a hot topic among the officers. When Malloy attempts to sell it to a fellow cop, he only ends up selling the frame, leaving him stuck with the painting. Their calls include a man trying to retrieve a rare coin from a toy machine, a supposed "peeping tom" who turns out to be a city worker using a telescope for meter readings, a repo man attempting to widen a doorway for furniture repossession, and an ex-football player turned robber who makes a run for it into the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
