Episode Overview

Reed receives the Medal of Valor from the LAPD for saving a wounded Malloy during a shootout. Although Jean is concerned about her husband's new role and his decision to take the detective's exam, she chooses to support him by attending the award ceremony. Reuniting, Malloy and Reed tackle various cases, including a break-in at a typing school where both cash and typewriters were believed to be stolen—a claim verified by an assistant who lets them inspect the typewriters. They also face a shootout in a warehouse filled with mannequins, involving a couple of young suspects.
