Episode Overview
With Christmas and Hanukkah approaching, Hope experiences a minor injury alongside an unexplained illness. Meanwhile, Michael grapples with his faith, envisioning his life as a 1960s sitcom. As the couple debates their holiday plans, Michael turns on an old black-and-white show featuring the Westons, who disrupt his intentions to celebrate with Hope. At work, Elliot notices Michael’s distraction and brings it up. Suddenly, Michael receives a call about an accident involving Hope and Janey. He rushes to the hospital, where he finds Janey unharmed, but Hope is weary and has some bruises. Later, Michael watches the sitcom again, now featuring Santa. He drives Melissa to the synagogue, where she urges him to join her on Friday. Upon returning home with a Christmas tree, he discovers Hope feeling unwell in the bathroom.
