As Nancy celebrates the release of her children's book, she suddenly finds herself facing a serious health scare. On a chaotic morning at the Weston household, she brushes off some back pain, attributing it to stress when she gifts Melissa a copy of her book. However, things take a turn when she becomes ill while picking up the kids from school and has to rush to the restroom. The next day, Dr. Silverman performs an ultrasound, revealing that one of Nancy's ovaries is displaced and suggesting further tests. After a thorough examination, Dr. Silverman mentions the possibility of a tumor, but definitive answers won't come until Monday. Both Nancy and Elliot are anxious yet strive to maintain their family's routine without sharing the troubling news. Later, tensions rise when Ethan expresses his frustration for not watching his basketball practice, leading Nancy to snap at him before quickly apologizing.
