Episode Overview

Hope and Michael return home unexpectedly to find their teenage babysitter, Lauren, who claims they need to discuss something important. However, their true intention is to focus on intimacy, though Michael struggles to get in the mood. Lauren admires Hope for her article on the ozone layer. Meanwhile, at DAA, Michael and Elliot are on edge about an upcoming presentation when Gary, dressed in casual attire, arrives just as Miles spots him. Gary reveals he and Susannah have called off their engagement. Late that night, after a disagreement about household issues, Hope admits she can't "switch gears" for intimacy. Later, after shopping with Melissa and Ellyn, Hope comes home to discover Lauren and her boyfriend Bernard having a loud picnic on the lawn, which infuriates her. Lauren apologizes profusely, explaining they were just trying to enjoy their time.
