Episode Overview
Ellyn considers starting an affair with Jeffrey Milgrom while Hope embarks on a new environmental initiative. Their current friendship is contrasted with their high school days. In a flashback to 1970 at Lower Merion High, Hope and Ellyn sneak a cigarette together, with Ellyn revealing plans to head to New York with the rebellious Mark McCreary. The girls rally support for a petition against a dress code. Fast forward to the present, Hope confides in Ellyn about quitting her job at Synergy and potentially working on an anti-incinerator project but keeps her pregnancy a secret. At the gym's pool, Ellyn encounters Jeffrey, a lawyer for Hope and Michael, and mentions she’s seen him there recently. They plan to have lunch together. Another flashback shows Ellyn and Hope protesting the dress code.
