Episode Overview
After losing his memory, Savage is discovered wandering Berkley Square by Lieutenant Ryan. Following a medical evaluation by Kaiser, he learns from a newspaper that Barbara Talbot has been murdered in London. Later, Inspector Thorne and Sergeant Padget from CID visit Savage, revealing they found a lighter with a 918th crest in Barbara's apartment. Savage realizes his own lighter is missing but can't recall anything. He begins to retrace his steps to Redgraves Club and then to Barbara's flat. It becomes clear that Redgraves is a blackmailer and spy, using women like Barbara to ensnare influential figures. Frank deduces that Redgraves is responsible for Barbara's death and that Padget is in league with him. In a tense confrontation, as Redgraves prepares to kill Frank, he is shot and injured by Inspector Thorne. Their next assignment will take them to Saarbrücken.
