Episode Overview
Colonel Royce is appointed as Deputy Group Commander by Crowe. Upon his arrival, he inspects the aircraft "Lorelei," only to discover that the entire crew has perished. Taking charge of the plane, he renames it Four Leaf Clover II and assembles a new team. During their first mission, Royce experiences a control failure while piloting (Red Badger 1). On the subsequent mission (Blue Jay Leader), a bomb release issue arises, yet inspections reveal no faults. While Royce prepares for the next flight, Savage attends a SHAEF meeting in London where he encounters Carol Royce. Returning to base, he learns Major Cobb flew the mission in Royce's absence and that Royce is now on sick leave. Captain Wayne Parsons, the new pilot for Lorelei, tragically dies in a freak accident when engine debris strikes him.
