Major Jack Temple leads the low Squadron on a mission to bomb the V2 assembly plant in Laon. During the operation, his aircraft, "The Lucky Lady," takes damage, forcing him and his crew to parachute to safety. Captured, Major Temple and four of his crew members—Kinner, Nichols, Weinstock, and Moody—are taken before Oberst Alfred Hoeptner, the facility's commander. Hoeptner plans to hold them at the factory to avoid bombing, dismissing Temple’s claims of a Geneva Convention violation, hoping the Americans will lodge a protest with the Red Cross. Meanwhile, back in Archbury, Frank and Harvey catch Lord Haw Haw's broadcast about their capture. As they head to the officers club, Harvey suggests darts, but Savage proposes a daring idea for pinpoint bombing the target.
