Episode Overview

Major Gus Denver arrives back at the 918th after his time in the States, where he served as a special instructor at Langley. Tragically, during his absence, his original crew was shot down over Liege, resulting in their deaths. Now serving as Squadron and Aircraft commander, he is eager to return to the skies and target Liege. The 918th receives orders to bomb Maastricht at 8,000 feet, a mission organized by Ed Chandler. During the operation, the co-pilot, navigator, and radioman are killed, leaving Savage uncertain about Denver's leadership.
