Episode Overview

Following a challenging mission, Gallagher is in search of a new gunner. He finds Corbett, a replacement with an impressive gunnery score of 1000, far surpassing Komansky’s 400. Corbett steps in for the injured Staff Sergeant Abbott as the Left Waist gunner and joins Gallagher’s crew for a practice flight. He spots the target first, but his gun malfunctions, leading to teasing from the other gunners. Not joining the post-mission fun at the Star & Bottle, he bonds with Komansky, who mentors him. They visit another pub where Corbett meets Gillian. During the next practice, he successfully shoots down a German FW and earns a promotion to Sergeant, but feels remorse over taking a life. He checks into the hospital, reveals he’s only 15, and runs off to see Gillian. Sneaking back aboard for the next mission to Hachensberg, he takes charge after the other gunners are injured. Although
