Episode Overview

1st Lieutenant Joshua Melton McGraw, an old friend of Gallagher's, arrives as a new pilot with an attitude and buzzes the airfield. Shortly after, the bombers return from their mission, but disaster strikes when the lead plane crashes, resulting in the death of Captain Newman. When Gallagher confronts McGraw about his reckless buzzing, McGraw claims it was due to radio issues, prompting Gallagher to reprimand him. McGraw reveals he leveraged his father, a General, to secure a transfer to the 918, and he's frustrated that Gallagher plans to break up his crew for routine missions. He insists on flying as Gallagher's copilot. While in London visiting General Britt, he reviews the bombing plans and shares a kiss with Phyllis Vincent during an air raid, all within Gallagher's view. On their mission, the group is tasked with bombing the 3rd bridge while pursuing the regular targets.
