Episode Overview
After a harrowing mission leaves nine out of ten crew members of the Piccadilly Lily injured, only Komansky emerges unscathed. He pilots the damaged plane back to safety, quickly gaining fame as a media sensation. Wounded Gallagher recommends him for the Silver Star, prompting Kirby Wyatt, the 918th's press liaison, to contact Susan Nesbitt, a BBC correspondent. Recognizing the potential for a major story—since Komansky saved General Gallagher's son—Susan teams up with Kirby. Meanwhile, Sandy feels uneasy about the newfound fame, especially when Technical Sergeant Chapman teases him about being a jinx. After stepping in for Chapman on a mission, Sandy successfully dislodges a bomb and earns the Silver Star.
