AfterMASH (1983)
Overview
AfterMASH, a 1983 sitcom on CBS, picks up shortly after the Korean War, following beloved characters from M*A*S*H: Colonel Potter, Klinger, and Father Mulcahy. The show introduces Soon-Lee Klinger, a Korean refugee and Klinger’s love interest, adding fresh dynamics. Premiering in the same time slot as its predecessor, it initially garnered solid ratings, finishing 10th for its first season. However, a move to Tuesday nights opposite NBC's The A-Team proved disastrous, leading to a sharp decline in viewership. Ultimately, AfterMASH was canceled after just nine episodes in its second season, while The A-Team thrived until 1987.
