Episode Overview

Louis is eager to participate in the school talent show with his comedy routine but procrastinates and ultimately misses the sign-up deadline. He pleads with Ren to let him take her spot, but she’s unsympathetic. At dinner, Louis convinces their parents to pressure Ren into collaborating with him, which frustrates her. During rehearsal, their act gets plenty of laughs, catching the attention of Larry Beale, who disapproves. He tells Ren that she’s merely a sidekick to Louis, which angers her and leads to her quitting the act. On talent show night, Larry and his partner Ivan perform Louis's routine, leaving him heartbroken. However, Ren has a change of heart, and together they quickly create a comic opera performance that ultimately wins them first place.
