Episode Overview

Dad surprises the family with a new vehicle, but everyone is let down when he brings home a dull minivan. Just then, Chuck Stevens, Steve’s brother and Louis’s favorite uncle, shows up driving a massive four-wheel drive truck. Dad isn’t too pleased with Chuck’s arrival, as he views him as an irresponsible dreamer with a knack for failed schemes, and he worries about the influence Chuck has on Louis. When Louis’s parents prevent him from pulling a prank on Larry Beale, Uncle Chuck urges him to go for it anyway. While Louis is washing the van, Chuck convinces him to ditch the chore and join him at the mall, leaving the hose running and flooding the van. Louis takes full responsibility and ends up grounded. Later, Uncle Chuck sneaks Louis and Twitty out for a late-night toilet papering of Larry’s house. When they’re caught by Larry and his intimidating father, Colonel Beale, Uncle Chuck abandons them, speeding away in his truck.
