Episode Overview
Louis and Twitty are engrossed in a game of stinky sockball, while Tom, uninterested in joining, eagerly awaits the arrival of a carve-your-own-leprechaun kit that Mr. Stevens brings home. Louis suggests his dad get started without him and enlist Tom's help instead. To Louis's dismay, he soon finds Tom bonding with his dad, spending increasing amounts of time together. Confiding in Tawny, Louis expresses his worry that Tom is usurping his place as his father's son. Tawny encourages him to discover a common interest with Mr. Stevens. One day at the golf course, Louis surprises his dad by showing up to play, only to find Tom already there. As they play, Louis struggles while Tom impresses Steve with his skills. Frustrated after making a good shot unnoticed, Louis snaps and tells Tom he can take over as Steve's son. Both Tom and Mr. Stevens are taken aback, unaware of Louis's feelings.
