Even Stevens (2000)
S03E05 Band on the Roof
Episode Overview
In a captivating "rockumentary" by renowned filmmaker Tom Gribalski, we follow the journey of the Twitty-Stevens Connection, a band comprised of Alan Twitty on guitar, Louis Stevens on drums, Ren Stevens as the lead vocalist, Tawny Dean on keyboards, and Artie Ryan on bass—who is hilariously replaced by Beans. The Stevens family is pleasantly surprised to see Ren and Louis collaborating as songwriters. However, tension arises when Louis proposes a rooftop concert at school, inspired by the Beatles and U2, despite Principal Wexler's disapproval. Ren disagrees and, after a heated argument, decides to leave the band. Undeterred, Louis pushes forward with the plan, sneaking their gear onto the roof, but soon the anxious band members begin to back out one by one.
