Episode Overview
The Cartwrights find themselves caught up in the turmoil of the Civil War once again. This time, the wife of former Colonel Cody Ransom arrives at the Ponderosa with her young daughter, hoping to rebuild their shattered lives. Ben soon discovers that Col. Ransom might be on the hunt for his family. Meanwhile, Union Major Donahue has relentlessly pursued Ransom and his men for years since the war's conclusion, refusing to entertain any offers of surrender. For Donahue, capturing Ransom has become a deeply personal mission.
