The Concert Party is en route to perform for the soldiers at Bannu, located on the Northwest Frontier. After enduring a lengthy and sweltering train ride, they continue by truck for the final stretch, only to have it break down, leaving them stranded. Surrounded by unfriendly tribesmen, Solly takes on the persona of Bing Crosby and arranges a performance to appease the hostile group. When Gloria shows up dressed as Dorothy Lamour, the tribesmen's leader expresses his desire to purchase her, complicating the situation further.
