Greg Hansen inherits his grandfather's horse ranch, but all the horses have been sold off to settle medical debts, leaving only his beloved horse, Nugget. With Nugget's help, Greg discovers an old motorcycle hidden on the property that he hopes to sell to cover some of those bills. However, the bike turns out to be worth much more than what a local dealer is willing to offer. Lloyd Week and his guide dog, Buff, find themselves urged to move after Buff howls an hour before each tenant in their apartment complex passes away.
